Subject: Station Rotations
Application: Station rotations are a vital component of the blended learning model. The RHS English I team used station rotations to prepare students for the EOC test. During this activity, all 9th grade students were divided into teams and rotated through four skills-based stations.
Successes:
1. Teachers noticed a high level of student engagement.
2. The use of multiple modalities enhanced learning by appealing to various learning styles.
Challenges:
1. We need more data-based and purposeful grouping strategies.
2. Station activities would have been made more relevant with differentiation.
